Year-End Giving Hope Kenya
As the year draws to a close, I wanted to truly thank you for your friendship and continued generosity to Hope Kenya. I also wanted to remind you that there are just two days left to make your year-end donation to Hope Kenya.
Reflection on 2020, I have been saddened to see many of us experience significant life- challenges, suffering and I am grieved by the loss of family, friends and some close partners.
I am however thankful for the plethora of ways in which the provisioning power of God’s hand has been revealed to the most vulnerable local and international friends of Hope Kenya.
God’s faithfulness never fails.
An overseas church partner reminded me of how “lucky” we are to be in the United States of America regardless of recent turmoil and political upheaval. Her use of the word “lucky’ instead of “blessed”, reminds me of how The Faithful might be shaken by the realities of a very tough journey and forget that God’s is still in control. Recently I took the risk of embarking on such a journey on the Appalachian Trail. My journey, unfortunately ended suddenly due to a serious injury. The kindness of strangers, in the most conservative parts of the county, ensured that I safely ‘landed’ out of the woods and into a place of comfort and care. We have a responsibility to encourage, serve and assist the strangers among us and those that are far-far away.
